Hi all,

Convention season is nearly at a close and while I wouldn't call this segment of time between the last update and now a "break," it did give us a little bit of a chance to re-collect ourselves after working really hard to get the books out to you all, show the game at conventions, and work on a lot of things we've still got in process.

For Thousand Arrows specifically, our next in-progress items are for the additional Role playbooks which have gotten held up a little bit with some family priorities (Joke about clan allegiances taking priority over roles? nah). But they're in the works and honestly pretty close to complete. I've also got an idea kicking around for another adventure inspired by Sakura Matsuri  (cherry blossom festival), which I'd like to get done in the next few months in time for it to be seasonally apt.

You may have also noticed that we've updated the Galileo Games website! It's evolving past a simple crappy e-commerce builder, into something that is more useful and valuable to everyone. And if you'd like to keep up with all of our projects, click through to subscribe to the newsletter! It's currently being published monthly and talks about all the new things we're working on.

One of those things is our latest project. We're publishing a collaboration called The Old Ways Must Goand it's currently funding until Friday, November 10! That's a little less than two weeks out.

This game is a really cool collaborative tarot/oracle card-based game about dismantling and rebuilding community rituals, where art interpretation and imagination play a heavy role. We're looking to produce a 'zine format print edition and a slick cotton playmat.

Scrolls update, wrapping up

Hello folks!

A bit of news. The additional batch of scroll maps is slated to arrive tomorrow, so I'm going to get those packed up and out the door this week; just in time for us to be completely* fulfilled and re-supplied for Gen Con. Once these are sent out, we're going to close the BackerKit and declare it done.

Speaking of Gen Con, Galileo Games will be there with games on the schedule (Bulldogs!, Thousand Arrows, Katanas & Trenchcoats), panel appearances (GMing 101), and booth presence at the IGDN booth (#132). 

And with that... we'll bid you sayonara for now. 

*"Completely" being an anecdotal impossibility. I don't think I've ever heard of a Kickstarter that a backer response rate of 100%. We're at 94.8% which is frankly pretty amazing.

Shipping update

By this point, most of you will have gotten one or more shipping notices and are perhaps feverishly refreshing the tracking number page.

Last Thursday, I took some sixty packages directly to the post office. Monday, they sent a truck to pick up another five hundred twenty-six packages. Today, I’m dropping off another fourteen.

And that’s *most* of the packages. We’ve unfortunately run into a small delay with some of the Scroll maps. It turns out it was a much more popular add-on than we’d initially estimated when we ordered the first batch, so we’ve had to reorder more. Luckily, we’ve been told that we’ve hit an opening in the manufacturer’s production schedule and that should be able to get our re-stock within about a month. So, our apologies to those whose maps are delayed. They’ll be on their way as soon as we can get them out to you.

Over this last weekend, some folks came over and helped pack an enormous portion of packages. As of right now, I think we've packed and assigned labels and tracking numbers to almost 3/4 of the packages. 

I'm going to start taking packages to the post office today, and continuing to pack and ship the rest as quickly as I can manage. The tracking numbers should be available in BackerKit. 

NOTE: Pledges and upgrades that include the scroll map will be coming in two separate packages, and the tracking number will generally be for the map and not the book.  

Awards season

Having now released Thousand Arrows, we become eligible for a variety of awards. We've so far submitted to "The Awards" and the Indie Groundbreaker Awards. Cross your fingers for us.

Enough update, back to work (**cracks whip at self**)

The Fox Playbook is a unique kind of playbook, in that it can be used as a Role, Allegiance, or both. The only complicated piece is that if you use it as a partial, you are required to take the Shapeshifter move to start, and one from whichever other role or allegiance you select. This model doesn't fit well on paper in the way we've designed the playbooks otherwise, so we've ended up with this compromise.

We've also posted this to the galileogames.com website.
